The Eastern Ontario Development Program (EODP) EODF Image is a $10 million,  short-term contribution to a program aimed at addressing socio-economic challenges in Eastern Ontario. The EODP is managed by FedDev Ontario, the  regional   economic development organization responsible for rural Eastern 
Ontario and is delivered by the 15 local Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs) in Eastern Ontario
  The funding, from the Government of Canada, will allow rural Eastern Ontario communities to pursue the creation of a competitive and diversified regional economy through investment in community economic development, small business growth and job creation. The EODP consists of seven funding elements including; Business Planning, Skills Development, Youth Interns, Local Initiatives, Innovation & Technology Initiative, Community Capacity and Access to Capital. The details of each specific program element are listed below under each element heading, including Application Guides and Application Forms for each element of interest.

Skills Development
  In acknowledgement of the significant financial investment required to train employees, applications may include direct training costs and other related expenses. Funds will support legal commercial entities (including individuals, corporations, partnerships, cooperatives or trusts); or, groups, alliances or associations where the lead applicant represents business enterprises or the business community; or, Aboriginal organizations; by contributing to and encouraging further training of existing full-time employees (excl. seasonal employees), resulting in improved transferable skill sets for employers and in an enhanced local labour force.
